CHILD SAFETY STATEMENT

FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents and Carers,
Term 3, during the winter months always seems the longest even though it was only 9 weeks, so I'm sure everyone is looking forward to a break from the routine of school. We have had many reports of children unwell with Influenza A. Hopefully the holidays will help to eliminate it from our school community. Please do not send children to school if they are showing symptoms of a heavy cold as it could be something more contagious.
Thank you to all of the staff for their dedication to their profession during the term, especially in my absence. Thank you to all parents as well for supporting the school and its activities this term.
If you are looking for a special event to attend with family members you could go along to the National Boys Choir concert being held in our school hall on September 25. See the flyer in the newsletter below. This is a wonderful opportunity for our local community to experience a national music event.
I'd like to thank Jae Leddin for her dedication to the Year 3A class for the past 2 terms and for being such a valued member of our staff. Annie Templeton is returning from maternity leave to her 3 day position in Year 3A at the beginning of Term 4. Welcome back Annie.
Please remember that school holidays begin next week and pickup on Friday is 2.20pm.
Olga Lyons
