CHILD SAFETY STATEMENT

FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week Mr. Steere, Kolo Sakate and Ben Mirtschin our Sustainability Leaders attended the Sustanability Victoria Awards to present the work the school have been doing to promote sustainable resources and practices.  This Year we were nominated for the Community Leadership School of the Year. This category recognises schools that best demonstrate a commitment to community leadership through the encouragement of innovative sustainability practices and action on climate change. We are very PROUD and EXCITED to announce that WE WON!!

Just a gentle reminder that the enrolment period for 2025 concludes on June 19.  Please go to our website to complete an enrolment application if you have a child starting in Foundation.  Letters of acceptance will be sent before the end of the term.

LEARNING SHOWCASE - JUNE 19

On June 19 from 1:30pm until 4.00pm our children will be showcasing their work to their parents.  This is an important part of our reporting process.  It gives the students an opportunity to talk about what they are proud of and what they are working towards as a learner.  Parents will have an opportunity to look at workbooks and ask questions to find out about the learning that has taken place during semester 1.

PARENT / TEACHER MEETINGS

Have you booked your appointment to meet with your child/ren's teacher/s in week 11? Please refer to the booking information Janine sent home.

BUS TRAVEL SAFETY

There have been a number of bus related issues lately which has prompted both local schools to initiate a bus safety and expectations drive.  If you are a parent of children who travel on a bus please watch this video with them and read the brochure by clicking on the link below.  A copy will also be sent home with bus travellers.

JUMP ROPE FOR HEART

Jump Rope for Heart kicks off during the last week of this term.

Register your child online, so they can receive the full benefits of the program and participate in online fundraising, simply follow the link  to get started. www.jumprope.org.au/parents

Students will be skipping during the term in PE lessons & break time, during this time you can share their online fundraising page with family and friends to help raise money for this great cause.

STAR OF THE SEA MISSION WEEK

FREE BINS ANYONE?

Now that we no longer have a camping facility here at the school during the Folk Festival, we have a surplus of bins that we don't need.  If anyone would like an extra bin for whatever reason, please come and take one.

They are not Moyne Council collection bins; therefore, they cannot be used for general kerb side collection but may be useful for taking rubbish to the tip, storing recyclable bottles and cans before taking them to the CDS collection centre, storing sports equipment or wood.
